How Can I Treat Eczema Symptoms
Because irritants and allergens can cause eczema flare-ups, doctors often recommend keeping the skin healthy and hydrated. They also recommend avoiding fragrances, dyes, and perfumes, or anything that can cause irritants to the skin and immune system.
So even though nobody knows the exact cause of eczema, we do know that taking care of your skin can reduce or eliminate eczema symptoms. Goat milk soap is a great way to care for your skin because it provides many benefits for your skin.
Goat milk soap protects your skin. Vitamin A, Vitamin E, and selenium in goat milk can help protect your skin against damaging results from excess sun and harsh outdoor elements.
Goat milk soap naturally moisturizes your skin. Goat milk contains different types of fatty acids that hydrate your skin by locking in moisture. In addition, cold processed goat milk soap retains all of the naturally occurring glycerin produced in the saponification chemical reaction. We don’t remove the glycerin to sell it as a valuable by-product. We make sure the glycerin is retained in your goat milk soap because it acts as a humectant to further lock moisture into your skin.
Goat milk soap helps keep your skin itch-free. For some people, food or environmental allergies can cause skin itching. But for many others, the chemicals used as ingredients in commercial cause the itching. Using a natural goat milk soap can often relieve most skin itching.

Castile Soap Uses + A Diy Recipe
Castile soap uses are practically endless, which is one of its greatest strengths!
The number one tip we can provide for using castile soap is to remember that a little goes a long way. In fact, modern castile soap is almost always concentrated, so a little dollop can pack quite the cleansing punch.
One of our favorite ways to use castile soap is as a baby wash. Since its free from chemicals and harsh detergents, castile soap is the perfect way to bathe your baby. In fact, a2008 report inPediatric Dermatology found that olive oil was safe enough to use on premature infants due to its incredible gentle nature.
Pure castile soap is perfectly safe to use on its own, but it can also be mixed with any number of ingredients to form natural replacements for products all throughout your home.
More than just for your skin, castile soap can be used as:
- Dish soap
- Shaving cream
- And so much more
If you go for an unscented form of castile soap, you can add your own aroma at home using your favorite essential oils. Other ingredients can safely be added as well. Some common DIY recipes using castile soap include adding water, honey, vegetable glycerin, witch hazel and more.
However, adding other ingredients shortens the shelf life of castile soap, so its highly recommended to create your DIY castile mixes in separate bottles and use them within a few weeks.
Also, avoid mixing castile soap with acidic items like vinegar or lemon juice as it can result in a white film being left behind.
What Body Wash For Eczema Do You Recommend
I have also been getting a lot of emails lately on what type of body wash I use. Of course the best natural body wash for eczema is just as important as choosing the right shampoo for eczema. Although I dont get eczema flare ups anymore, I still stick to the same soap because it is mild, natural, and chemical free.
It is one of my favourite soaps to use, and I love the ingredients in it. The soap uses a combination of organic extra virgin coconut, olive, jojoba and hemp oils, together with pure essential oils, which creates a unique and effective soap that cleans without being aggressive. These ingredients make up the best body wash for eczema skin.
This soap is so gentle yet so strong that it actually has 18 different uses which is amazing! .
Most regular soaps are drying to the skin, but because this soap is made from Castile soap it is a vegetable oil-based soap that is rich in oils, versus an animal fat-based soap. Unfortunately, many synthetic detergent blends are deceptively labeled as Liquid Soap even when they contain no soap whatsoever. Dr. Bronners soaps contain no foaming agents/detergents, like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, and many praise it as a body wash for eczema.
Remember, natural products may be more expensive, but the better the quality of your product, the better it is for your eczema.

This Dermatologist Tells The Real Truth About What Youre Doing To Your Skin
- Health & Wellness
I dont know about you, but after a hard sweat session or some garden chores in the summer heat, I relish a good scrub in the shower. Clean, scrubbed skin feels so much better than the slimy sensation of sweat mixed with sunscreen, right?
A new book, Beyond Soap, by dermatologist Sandy Skotnicki is forcing me to rethink some of my assumptions about personal cleanliness. Skotnicki, who specializes in skin irritation, argues that our cultures obsession with hygiene is destroying our skins ability to do its job. She explains that by scrubbing and soaping up daily or even more than once a day, as she sees with many of her patients were inadvertently damaging the important outer layer of our bodys largest organ.
I noticed over the years a growing number of people coming into my office with reactions to things and not knowing what to do, Skotnicki said during our recent interview. I got frustrated that patients dont have the right information. This book tries to cut through the misconceptions.
And Here Are The 18 Uses
On our bodies: face body hair bath shaving teeth foot bath and clearing congestion.
Around the house: handwashing dishes laundry mopping all-purpose cleaning windows toilet fruit & veggie rinse dog washing plant spray for bugs and ant spray .
Phew! That was a long list! I bet youd be counting to make sure there are really 18 there

Castile Soap & Eczema
According to the National Eczema Association, there is no cure for eczema, a chronic disorder that causes the skin to be dry, irritable and itchy. The good news is that a careful daily skin care routine can help keep skin moisturized and prevent eczema flare-ups. Using a mild, natural cleanser such as Castile soap for bathsand when washing one’s hands and facecan be an important step in controlling eczema.
Castile Soap Side Effects
While Castile soap is safer to use than many other bodies and home care products, you should still observe some cautions when using it.
- Dont use Castile soap in your dishwasher or washing machine. This will cause an excess of bubbles and flooding. Only special cleansers should be used in these types of appliances.
- If your water is hard in your city, the soap may leave behind a white film on surfaces. In these cases, use filtered or bottled water. Or, rinse off with a vinegar and water solution.
- Just like with any hair care product, test the soap on a small section of color-dyed hair first. The soap could strip away the color.
- The soap will still make a baby cry if it gets in their eyes. Wash out with warm water, or use only a small amount to avoid this situation.
- Castile soap is highly concentrated, so only use a few drops for each purpose. Otherwise, youll just be wasting the soap, and the tap water youll be using to wash away the excess.
