How To Use Emollients

Use your emollient all the time, even if you’re not experiencing symptoms.

Many people find it helpful to keep separate supplies of emollients at work or school, or a tub in the bathroom and one in a living area.

To apply the emollient:

  • use a large amount

Covering your hands with gloves before coming into contact with chemicals and irritants can help to get rid of eczema on the hands. You can also try soaking your hands in saline solution to get rid of excess bacteria that may be aggravating the skin.
