Wild Naturals Eczema Body Wash
The very first ingredient is aloe vera, that too the organic kind. So you can expect deep healing action. Also a part of the process is minimizing inflammation and swelling. The close second is cehami flower extract. Its what brings itch and pain relief to the table.
The pH balance is 5.5, like your skin. That means theres zero destruction of your natural protective acid mantle barrier function. The formula helps in maintaining optimal moisture. So flare-ups remain under control. You have to use it on a daily basis for these kinds of favorable results.
No harmful chemicals or ingredients are added to this. Instead, you can reap the full benefits of manuka honey. Its a very strong moisturizer packed with amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. What honey does is lock in the moisture for healing and protecting damaged or dry skin. It does wonders for skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, rosacea, etc.
My only criticism is that the bottle is way too small. Against the price, this does seem like a bitter pill.

Some of the most common home remedies for eczema include:
- Coconut oil

The above are all topical eczema treatments to calm down itchy skin and reduce inflammation. The oils seal in moisture after an oatmeal bath, for example. Moreover, tea tree oil fights infection and softens plaques.
Or add water to baking soda, make a paste, and put it on a damp washcloth. Then apply it to an irritated skin barrier to stop the eczema itch.

Which Soaps Are Bad
Just like with diet for eczema, the most basic thing is just to look at the ingredients list with incredible scrutiny.
Mostly avoid things with fragrances and other artificial substances that may serve as irritants.
As a general rule of thumb, if it is rather generic like best lemon body wash or a brand not known specficially for sensitive skin, it will irritate and make your skin dryer.
People with Eczema should use soaps that are SPECIFICALLY designed for troubled, sensitive and dry skin.
Another general rule of thumb is that organic products are better, but this is just general as the label organic does not always mean 100% natural, and some natural ingredients can irritate too.

My Personal Story And Review Of Dr Bronners Soaps
Some very simple evidence of why Dr Bronners soaps are the best: since using them in my homemade dishwashing liquid , my palms have become soft and moisturised, which is in stark contrast to the dry, cracked and flaky skin I experienced from using regular commercial dishwashing detergent, a result of the harsh chemicals found in them.
And this is on top of cooking 3 meals a day and washing up after each meal, ever since switching to Dr Bronners, as I became a full-time stay at home mum at the same time. I felt that every single time I washed the dishes, I was nourishing my hands. How weird it felt, but I was pleased, no complaints!
My kids, eczema or not, have been using it in their homemade body wash, and are loving it too.
Ingredients In Dr Bronners Soaps
For the tea tree scented liquid Castile soap which I have in my hand as I am writing this, these are the ingredients:
Water, organic coconut oil, potassium hydroxide , organic palm kernel oil, organic olive oil, tea tree extract, organic jojoba oil, citric acid, tocopherol .
So you can see, it is made of all natural oils, no chemicals, preservatives, emulsifiers, sodium lauryl sulfate , etc.
The same goes for the bar soap, the same ingredients as the liquid soap, except sodium hydroxide in place of potassium hydroxide, to make this hard bar of soap, and none of it remains too, after saponifying the oils into soap and glycerin.

Soap Recommendations For Eczema Sufferers
One of the soaps that most dermatologists recommend is the Hypoallergenic Dove Soap bar made for sensitive skin. These are fairly affordable and is commonly found everywhere! You can also find natural soap bars in Bulk Barn and any Health Food stores in bulk with lesser ingredients compared to commercial bars. It can randomly be found in some drugstores and grocery stores in health foods aisle in a pack or individually wrapped bars.
Also if you are on a run or prefer liquid form, Cetaphil offers a mild soap-free body wash for eczema-prone skin called Restoraderm body wash which is perfect for after a workout if you need that quick wash. In fact, the product claims to be safe enough for as young as 3 months old. I personally do love this one especially that my skin needs that extra skin conditioning during winter time. This is better than Dove soap in my opinion, but it is pricey just to warn you.
