Moisturising But Broke Me Out
I am 30 and acne prone usually only on my chin . After giving this a chance for a good while, unfortunately things haven’t gotten better and it is definitely breaking me out. Even on my cheeks and forehead where I never break out usually. I really wanted to love this but it just isn’t for me
- Value for Money
Love both the gel-cream and the night-concentrate. Both excellent products that have great value for the cost.I have been spending all day with hydrated skin that feels smooth and soft to the touch
Is There A Way To Prevent Eczema
You can prevent eczema by avoiding triggers, for some, skin irritants like dry heat, wool, harsh soaps, fabric softeners and sweating may lead to flares, Dr. Libby said.
Dilute bleach baths using a quarter cup of bleach in a half tub of water and thoroughly mixing is also a mainstay of eczema prevention and treatment, as they have been found to reduce eczema symptoms by reducing bacterial load and inflammation on the skin, she adds.
Working Process And Ingredients List
Neutrogena Hydro Boost is a revolutionary skincare product that works by hydrating and rebuilding the skins barriers. It leverages its two key ingredients which are:
Olive Extract this ingredient is known for its anti-oxidant, protective, and moisturizing qualities. It contains fatty acids which is similar to the skins natural moisture shield. This fatty acid assimilates into skin barriers and forms a structure that helps to protect the skin from moisture loss and dehydration.
Purified Hyaluronic Acid this helps to deliver pure boost of hydration. It absorbs and holds huge amount on water and continuously and slowly releases it back in to the skin keep it supple and hydrated all day long.

Sunscreen For Eczema Skin
Eczema is super normal. In fact, 30 million Americans have it. This means your skin is more vulnerable to the suns harmful rays. Sunscreen is important, but finding the right one that wont make your eczema flare up is even more important.
If you have eczema, youll want to look for mineral-based sunscreens. That means theyre formulated with zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide. Avoid sunscreens that contain alcohol, fragrances and preservatives. Always choose an SPF 30 or higher and look for the broad spectrum label.
Not to brag, but the National Eczema Association gave several Neutrogena® mineral sunscreens their seal of approval including Pure & Free® Liquid Sunscreen, Sensitive Skin Sunscreen Lotion SPF 60+ and Pure & Free® Baby Faces Ultra Gentle Sunscreen.
What Were Looking For
Ingredients: Serious cases of eczema will require prescription treatments, but some patients can get by with an over-the-counter one filled with emollient, humectant ingredients like ceramides, petrolatum, shea butter, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and squalene, which will rehydrate and restore any dry, cracked skin caused by eczema, according to Dr. Corey L. Hartman, founder of Skin Wellness Dermatology in Birmingham, Alabama. For eczema-prone skin, hydration is the name of the game, he says. And since eczema is essentially just inflammation of the skin, products with additional ingredients like colloidal oatmeal and petroleum will soothe and protect the skin from further damage or irritation.
Price: Eczema treatments tend to be on the affordable side, but weve noted how much youre getting in each bottle or tube and how much it costs per ounce.

Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair Review
The Neutrogena Rapid Tone Repair collection is on a mission to give you the glow youve been searching for. This cosmetic selection offers a curated assortment of skincare must-haves, including the Dark Spot Corrector and the SPF Moisturizer. In short, they are complementary items once youve successfully moved past the acne phase.
To keep things short, this Neutrogena review will look at one of the brands hottest picks within their Rapid Tone Repair collection.
Congrats! That volcanic-like zit is finally dormant after days of eruption, but the fight isnt over yet. To help cover up those dark spots, the Rapid Tone Repair Correcting Cream can mask those pesky imperfections that acne leaves behind.
The best thing about the Rapid Tone Repair Correcting Cream is that its formulated to work in as little as one week. If anything, it should be a must-have before any big-name event. Currently, this best-selling product retails for a friendly $36.
Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion Spf 30
Neutrogena has been saving dehydrated faces and they recently just included more products that we skincare gurus have BEGGED for. An SPF higher than 15. As Aprill of heyaprill.com wrote, some stores have banned any SPF lower than 30 because they arent as effective. Neutrogena stepped their game up and added to the Hydro-Boost line an SPF 30 and SPF 50. The SPF 50 is currently my favorite.
It is super lightweight, has a very light and non-irritating fragrance, and absorbs and blends into your skin like a dream. Perfect for makeup-wearers! I also love that it gives my face a super glowy and healthy look. Not oily, glowy. Theres a difference. My skin looks and feels healthy and is moisturized all while being protected from damaging sun rays.

Perfect Product Can’t Live Without It Now
After a long time searching for a moisturiser that would help my very dry and flaky skin I finally decided to try the hydro boost range. Let’s just say after a few uses I will no longer need anything else. This product is absolutely perfect and reasonably priced. The gel melts in to your skin almost instantly leaving no yucky sticky residue and your skin feels soft and smooth straight away. After using this product for a fortnight I feel confident enough to go out of the house without makeup on! Something I never would have done previously. Highly recommend giving this range a go.
She Applies Eye Cream Morning And Night
Its always a good idea to use an eye cream both AM and PMalthough I also sometimes skip this step when Im in a hurry! Undereye cream is a place where I suggest splurging if you can as wellthe skin is so thin so you want to make sure the product is safe but also effective! I opt for something that is hydrating and helps with the integrity of the skin as dark circles may just be the blue tint from the vessels underneath the thin skin.

Keep Your Facial Regimen Simple
When it comes to managing dry, eczema-prone skin, a less is more approach is often what works best. If your skins already sensitive and more susceptible to irritation, infections, and allergic reactions, keeping it light and sticking with the basics is key.
I can attest to the efficiency of this, as I used to use an array of products because that was what I saw most celebrities and social media skincare gurus doing. Now, I use 3-4 products max and my skin looks better than ever. In the morning, I use a gentle cleanser, followed by toner, moisturizer, and SPF. My nighttime routine is pretty much the same , but every other day or every two days Ill add in retinol after my toner and before my moisturizer. My skins just too sensitive to handle retinol dailyIll get dry patches and itll get extremely redregardless of how much moisturizer, hyaluronic acid, or Vaseline I pair with it.
Having eczema can, undeniably, be frustrating and challenging at times, but its not the end of the world. Learning more about this inflammatory skin condition and using these daily tips from my dermatologist has made the biggest difference. At the end of the day, its all about finding what works best for you. In my case, Ive found that moisturizing frequently, keeping things simple, and going back to basics is key to managing my eczema effectively and keeping my skin happy.

What The Experts Say
A patient with eczema or atopic dermatitis has an impaired skin barrier: the proteins that make up the skins barrier are mutated, which means they let too much moisture out of the skin and too many environmental like allergens into the skin.Caren Campbell, M.D.,San Francisco-based board-certified dermatologist

What Causes Keratosis Pilaris
Keratosis pilaris occurs when hair follicles are blocked or clogged, which causes bumps on the skin. However, there are varying opinions on what causes the blockage.
Engleman explains that keratosis pilaris is caused by a buildup of retained keratin, which is a protein found in your skin, nails and hair. Mikailov, on the other hand, describes our sebaceous glands and their secretion of sebum our bodys natural oil that ensures healthy skin, hair and nails as the key factor. When sebaceous glands are missing or not functional, it leads to a lack of naturally produced oil, fats and acids that normally promote healthy hair follicle growth and skin turnover, he explains. Ultimately follicles become plugged and the bumps of keratosis pilaris follow.
No matter how the blockage is caused, it produces evenly spaced out, pink, firm bumps, explains Dr. Rachel Maiman, a board-certified dermatologist at . Theres likely a heritable component given its propensity to run in families, she adds. Dr. Ellen Marmur, a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of MMSkincare, echoes this idea, emphasizing keratosis pilaris as a genetic skin problem inherited by one parent and a special form of eczema.
Neutrogena Expanded Their Hydro Boost Line: Heres What You Need
For dehydrated guys and gals all over the world, Neutrogena Hydro-Boost has been a skin saver. If you have oily skin, the Hydro Boost line should be your best friend. It hydrates and quenches the skin, while also having dimethicone to act as a sealant. It truly doesnt get any better than an amazing hydrator and moisturizer in one for $20!
Neutrogena launched their Hydro-Boost line almost 7 years ago, and the skincare industry hasnt been the same since. The Hydro-Boost gel is formulated with hyaluronic acid and glycerin as the two main ingredients. Hyaluronic acid and glycerin are humectants that help to increase your skins water content, thus providing hydration.
A study written by Liz Martin posted on the wheninmanila.com blog said that prior to applying the Hydro-Boost gel, Lizs skin had 51% hydration. This was tested by a Neutrogena representative using a Moist Sense Hydrometer, a device that tests the moisture content in your skin. On the Moist Sense website, they claim that 0-50 is dehydrated and 50-99 is ideal moisture content.
Liz started off with a score of 51 and after using the Hydro-Boost, her skins moisture content had increased to a whopping 90! Her friend started off with a 65 and went up to an 85. These results are incredibly impressive.

Best For Feet: Love Lori Foot Finish Foot Cream
Urea, which is a humectant, can be very helpful in terms of keeping the feet smooth, Dr. Markowitz says of this foot creams all-star ingredient. The fast-absorbing formula provides instant relief and works to heal dry, cracked, and itchy skin by repairing the moisture barrier, which helps kick-start its renewal process. In addition to soothing dryness in eczema-prone skin, it can also be used as a remedy for calluses and corns.
Great for eczema, . It dries it up and helps with itching in the acute stage, and keeps it moisturized enough that it doesnt crack and turn fire engine red when in the subacute stage. I have a really bad flare-up right now, but this urea cream is keeping it from driving me absolutely insane.

Comparison: Neutrogena Vs Clinique

The Results: Lightweight Hydration
Thanks to ingredients like dimethicone and HA my skin feels soft after using, but it doesnt necessarily feel super hydrated like it can after I use heavier moisturizers . But with that said, despite colder weather and declining humidity, Hydro Boost has kept my skin from becoming too dry, and I think thats part of the magic of the formuladespite its lightness, it seems to soak into the skin and hydrate it from the inside out.
I wouldnt recommend this moisturizer for those with severely dry skin or anyone looking for major hydration in colder or drier climates. But for summer weather or oily skin, I think this moisturizer is a solid choice to hydrate without being heavy. And, as in my case, it works well for those with normal skin looking for a morning hydrator that wears well under makeup.
Im always wary that new products will break me outespecially with a fragrance as strong as this onebut even after a week of use, I didnt have any new out of the ordinary acne. One reason for this might be how light the formula is. Its oil-free and non-comedogenic, so it shouldnt cause breakouts for most people.
