About My Skin: Fine In Some Areas Dry And Red In Others
Ive got pretty hardy skin with no real issues or chronic conditions. However, I run almost every day, and the dry air during colder months leaves the skin on certain parts of my body looking dull, scaly, and itchy. Thats where Dream Cream is a serious saving grace. While I dont regularly slather on a ton of body cream after a shower, I do tend to dryness and itch-prone areas like my hands, feet, elbows, knees, and ankles with a healthy dose of Lush Dream Cream at least once each day. And since its become the norm to wash our hands a dozen or so times a day, I always follow with a dab afterward to keep my hands from drying out.

I love the way Dream Cream smells. There is a bit of added fragrance further down on the list, but overall youre getting whats in the ingredients, namely rose absolute, chamomile, and lavender, in a genderless combination thats neither floral nor granny-like. Theres an element of the oat milk, too, thats nice and earthy. I strongly dislike products that attempt to smell like other things such as food or desserts, so I quickly warmed up to this very natural aroma. It soon fades after you put it on anyway, so you dont have to worry about it interfering with your go-to scent.

Lushs Dream Cream has seen a surge in sales following reports it is good for eczema.
Sarah Rudd, 36, had tried countless creams and medications including steroid cream hydrocortisone on her five-month old baby son and nothing would stop him scratching. But then she tried Dream Cream and his eczema cleared up within a few days and hasnt come back. She now pops some on him most mornings as a precautionary measure.
I know it wont be the miracle cure for everyone, but if it helps one other tired mum out then its worth sharing, she told HuffPost UK.
A British Skin Foundation spokesperson told HuffPost UK they were unable to comment on specific brands, but they agreed with Rudd that when it comes to eczema unfortunately there is no miracle cure that will work for everyone.
Its often a case of trial and error as to which treatment works best for an individual – just because something works well for one person doesnt mean this will necessarily be the case for everyone, they said.

One word of caution we wanted to include here is that Lush’s products are generally meant for adults, not babies.
And while we’ve not yet asked Lush directly about this product in particular, when we queried them about their Sleepy lotion they told us:

What Do I Think
The texture of this lotion is not too thick, not too runny. You dont need a lot of product the size of a pea is enough for both your hands. To me, this justifies the price which isnt cheap. But Ive been keeping a 240g pot on my nightstand for 5 months now, and I still have 1/3 left. And believe me, not a night goes by where I dont use this lotion. Sometimes I even apply it to my itchy legs or arms, for a quick soothing solution and relieve of the itching. I can safely use this product while my hands are scratched from working at the animal shelter, it even seems to heal the scars faster. The lotion is also pretty easy to build up its absorbed very quickly by the skin, so you can easily apply another layer if your skin still feels dry.
All in all, Im in LOVE with Dream Cream. This is one of the few products I cant and wont live without. I love how quickly its absorbed, how it keeps my skin soft for hours and hours, how my skin improves after using this product. It not only relieves me of my itching, but it makes dry patches disappear in no time. If you havent tried this product yet, I urge you to go out and get a sample or better yet, a whole pot and see for yourself. Especially if you suffer from irritations, eczema or psoriasis, youll find that this product is a true Godsend. The first time I used Lush Dream Cream was on my hands, and thats when I first noticed the texture and thought to myself, were going to get along fine. I was concerned it would grease up my keyboard but was soon impressed at how nicely it sunk in. Following the cardinal rule of body cream application, it definitely works best when applied on damp skin after showering or washing your hands. Where I appreciate it the most is on my legs, especially my feet and ankles, as running in insulated socks can make my skin feel itchy and irritated, and this stuff does wonders for having a soothing effect anywhere I apply it.

This is what got me hooked on Lush Dream Cream at the outset. The texture reminds me of pudding, lightweight and springy beneath your fingers. It spreads easily and has a nice slip to it. You can feel how emollient it is as you rub it in, but it quickly absorbs so theres never a greasy residue.
